March 27th is *Royalty Day* in Toms River, NJ

The Goddard School on Roue 70 celebrates "Once-Upon-A-Time" Week

--- Most Americans are adamant about NOT wanting a monarchy ever taking over in our country, but is there anything wrong about celebrating our favorite royalty, like Cinderella? Didn’t Walt Disney start something absolutely magical with his movie-stories about “Sleeping Beauty” (Princess Aurora), Ariel, the Mermaid-princess, and our native-American “princess”, Pocohantas? And, what is all the fuss about the Magical Kingdom, surrounding Cinderella’s castle, that Mr. Disney built for us?

So, maybe there is something of a paradox in our American culture when we create our own versions of royalty and aristocracy, in spite of our early Revolutionary history about rejecting King George, and his British monarchy?

But, then, on Thursday, March 27, 2008, it will be *fairy-tale* royalty, like Cinderella and the Queen-of-Hearts, that will be celebrated at the story-book-themed, fun-learning environment that is The Goddard School (TR-2) for Early Childhood Development in Toms River, NJ. The teachers and students at the preschool, located at 255 Route 70, will celebrate *Royalty Day* and *Once-Upon-A-Time Week* to conclude their observance of Read-Across-America month.

It is never cold, snowy, rainy, or gloomy inside this *Camelot* of childcare centers, because the children spend most of their day-time hours among castles, unicorns, wizards, elves, and pixies, surrounded by castle turrets and some of the other fun things that go to make up fairy-tales.

"Our children and teachers, alike, have fun with this idea of royalty," says Ms. Dana Chibbaro (CQ), owner and operator of The Goddard. “After all, doesn’t America constantly replace the hereditary aristocracy of other cultures by creating our own *royalty* out of popular icons like Hannah Montana, TV celebrities and performers, and figures from the world of sports. But, on this particular day, we just encourage the teachers and children to dress-up as the aristocracy or royalty from the Middle Ages, or from their favorite fairy-tale story."

So please, mark your calendars now about
March 27, 2008, and feel free to call Ms. Dana Chibbaro at (732) 363-5530 for more information about this event and about The Goddard School for Early Childhood Education.
